Mission
In the spirit of the Gospel, inspired by the joy and compassion of LifeHouse INC, in solidarity with all who hunger and thirst for justice and peace, and together with those we serve, our mission is to feed, heal, shelter, clothe, lift the spirits of those in need, create a society in which all persons flourish, and promote a green energy alternative through our program.
This mission is guided by five values: healing, community, personalism, justice, and gratitude.
HEALING
We are committed to a healing ministry serving the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of those who are poor. We are called to solidarity with the poor and seek to identify with those we serve, realizing that by sharing in the healing of others, we too are healed.
COMMUNITY
We seek to be an integral part of the community we serve. We invite participation in decision-making by those whose lives are affected, so that all may realize, develop and share their gifts for the good of the community. We strive to promote an atmosphere of openness, trust, and relationship, and to foster a spirit of respect for the gifts and needs of all persons.
PERSONALISM
We seek to honor diversity and treat all people with dignity and respect. We recognize that each person is worthy and valued simply by being. We seek simplicity and flexibility in our operations and cherish our relationships with one another.
JUSTICE
We seek ways to eliminate injustice and to educate and empower people so that all may claim their rights in society. We believe our role to advocate for and with people who are poor, disadvantaged, and outcast. We strive to work toward a society in which the world’s abundant resources are made available to all according to need.
GRATITUDE
We celebrate the wonder of life and beauty of creation. We work to be good stewards of all the gifts given to us. We are committed to expressing our joy and gratitude to God and to all who join us in our work.

Life Skills
LifeHouse is a faith-based nonprofit whose program is proven to assist returning citizens, the recovering, and individuals with the necessary tools needed for life-change.
Life House offers a curriculum and training program that addresses today’s most pressing issues. The faith-based life skills resources have proven effective in overcoming obstacles across ethnic and racial groups. They have the flexibility to be used in the home with families, in groups and in outreach to the community.
The Personal Development Curriculum will provide participants with customized, highly-beneficial life skills training that will stay with them for a lifetime.
Life skills are defined as skills that are “necessary or desirable for full participation in daily living.” Becoming proficient in new life skills training can improve an individual’s quality of life, especially those re-entering society and suffering from addiction.
A few of the many essential life skills include:
Adopting Healthy Habits — Proper nutrition and hygiene are essential skills for life that can improve an individual’s physical and mental health. Life skills training can teach how to take proper care of their bodies, practice good hygiene, and becoming healthier people physically and mentally.
Developing Routines — Coming up with a daily routine for morning, afternoon, evening, and bedtime create cycles of healthy living. Support groups, counseling, exercise classes, and other parts of their comprehensive treatment program should be scheduled into their daily routines as well. Routines help maintain healthy habits and get back to a better lifestyle.
Social Skills — Cycles of relationship problems with families and friends because of negative patterns must be broken. Life skills training can teach social skills that mend broken relationships. Learning how to control emotions, practice effective communication, and understand others can help enhance social skills.
Becoming Financially Stable — It is important to learn how to become financially stable and responsible for their money. Being responsible with finances, budgeting, and learning how to live on a budget help reduce the stress that lead to negative patterns.
Organized Living Space — The spaces that we surround ourselves with can have a significant effect on how productive we are, how clear our minds are, and how responsible we are for our items. Learning how to clean, organize, and declutter our living spaces can significantly reduce stress.
Managing Medications — Learning how to manage one’s medications is a highly important life skill to learn. Becoming educated on how to appropriately manage medications can be beneficial for the person’s mental and physical health and can reduce their chances of forming possible addictions.
MENTORING AND TRAINING
LifeHouse focuses on the character and behavioral development of individuals. One of the ways we do this is through our faith-based training and mentoring classes. The training and mentoring experience will offer guidance and one on one and group interactive discussion.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
LifeHouse is partnering with area businesses, nonprofits, and staffing agencies to provide individuals with a livable wage while being enrolled in the program. Ongoing partnership development will grant us the ability to offer a variety of employment choices for individuals as well.
OPPORTUNITIES UNLIMITED
One of the struggles many people experience is the feeling that there are no opportunities or that they are limited for them to change or excel. This produces a hopelessness that can lead to dangerous paths with severe consequences. Our program unlocks the biggest closed doors of all: the heart and the mind, so that our clients can know anything is possible.
